Blurb

The Winter Solstice. In a week. I was still new enough to being High Lady that I had no idea what my formal role was to be. If we’d have a High Priestess do some odious ceremony, as lanthe had done the year before. A year. Gods, nearly a year since Rhys had called in his bargain, desperate to get me away from the poison of the Spring Court to save me from my despair. Had he been only a minute later, the Mother knew what would have happened. Where I’d now be. Snow swirled and eddied in the garden, catching in the brown fibers of the burlap covering the shrubs My mate who had worked so hard and so selflessly, all without hope that I would ever be with him We had both fought for that love, bled for it. Rhys had died for it.

My Review

***5 Stars!!!***

Feyre and Rhysand are my ultimate OTP! I loved this book because it shows Feyre, Rhysand, and the Inner Circle just enjoying life as they prepare for Solstice. It’s also Feyre’s first Solstice as High Lady AND her birthday so it’s extra special. I just made me so extra happy! I was smiling at my book like a lovesick fool!

This book made me so emotional! FINDING OUT WHO MADE FEYRE’S STARFALL DRESS AND FEYRE’S SOLSTICE PRESENT TO RHYS HAD ME IN LITERAL TEARS!!! And Feyre’s friendship with Mor!!! I love seeing female friendships! Omg and Amren! I love Amren with all my heart! My tiny jewel-loving demon who only softens for Varian! Cassian, Azriel and Rhysand’s Solstice tradition!!! My Illirian Babies!!!I love them all so much I can’t even handle it.

I don’t know how Maas will ever top Feysand. The way they support each other, understand each other, love each other, give each other space and privacy when needed, and their chemistry as a couple is to die for. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (forever and ever):POWER. COUPLE.

This book is a novella that basically sets the scene for future novels in the seires so if you’re looking for a heavy plot and storyline, you won’t find it here. This was really just a novella to show Feyre and Rhys enjoying life together after the war with Hybern. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s the last book we’ll be getting with Feyre or Rhys’s POV so Maas wanted to show them just being happy together, with their family.

The next book in the series (no title or release date yet) will feature Nesta and Cassian’s POV and I am so freaking excited!! I’ve been wanting to get into Nesta’s head for so long and I can’t wait to see where her head is at.

I really really really hope Sarah J. Maas will decide to write more books from Feyre and/or Rhysand’s POV because I don’t know what I’m going to do without them! This was a lovely goodbye to this couple but I will forever want more of my OTP!!!
